En 2007, j'ai commencé à fréquenter le microcosme noctambule des buveurs de bière hantant certains rades du centre-ville d'Istanbul. Au sein de cette faune cosmopolite, de nombreux musiciens se produisaient régulièrement sur diverses scènes offertes par les bars du coin. Je me suis lié d'amitié en 2011 avec Archie McKay, charismatique chanteur et showman exceptionnel, alors membre fondateur de Raw Power, un groupe de reprises d'Iggy Pop. En mai 2014, au cocktail de réception de mon mariage, se tenait le premier concert de son nouveau groupe. D'inspiration post-punk,"The Young Shaven" c'est le miracle renouvelé concert après concert d'une énergie scénique rare sur des compositions qui respirent la rue et les arrières salles d'Istanbul.
